Incredibad is the debut album by The Lonely Island. If you’ve not heard of TLI then you would have heard of their tracks that have been playing in Australia over the last few months. TLI are a comedy group composed of composed of Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg. The trio are best known for their comedic work for Saturday Night Live. They were also responsible for the comedy film, Hot Rod which came out in 2007. We took a brief look at Jizz in my Pants back in March, and they found even greater success in Australian with I’m on a Boat.
Incredibad is a mixture of solid comedy musical tracks like I’m on a boat and Jizz in my pants, comedy interludes, songs from SNL and cameo tracks from artists such as Jack Black, Norah Jones, Justin Timberlake and Natalie Portman (who features in Natalie’s Rap which isn’t all that funny, but amusing from the demure Portman). The trio manage a few musical styles ranging from reggae to rock opera. The interludes can be amusing and some are mercifully short at 30 seconds in length.
Overall the CD is good with standout tracks other than the singles such as D**k in a box, Saxman and Like a Boss and the interlude Shrooms. While there are some weird and simply unfunny tracks on the CD, if you liked the singles so far, then you will probably like the album too.
Rating: 7/10

Tripod, that that talented trio of muso-comedians have a Christmas Album For the love of god! out this end of year. Out in conjunction with their Xmas tour, I suggest you go out and get the album. My favourite tracks are the lovely "I hate your family" and "The Only Shepherd."
If you've loved Tripod in their previous shows, then you'll love this one with sickly-sweet Xmas tunes that have a great comedy edge.
They still have shows coming up this year, so check out their website for dates! www.3pod.com.au
The biggest thing to come out of New Zealand since Lord of the Rings, they have slowly emerged from early shows at the start of the naughties, being nominated for Perrier awards at Edinburgh and winning Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Jemaine Clement and Brett McKenzie combine unique observational humour with witty musical interludes, often taking from different musical styles (e.g. rap, folk, French retro pop). I often enjoy the Aussie-bashing that often comes through on the TV series.
Before the success of their TV show and their Grammy Award winning album, The Distant Future, they released a six-part BBC Radio 2 series. The series was aired on BBC Radio 2 in 2005 and sees the pair struggling for fame in London with their manager Murray (Rhys Darby). The largely improvised series is narrated by Rob Brydon and features a range of cameos from comedians and Kiwis alike.
The radio show will also be broadcast on Australia’s Triple J from July 27

From the cover:
Flight of the Conchords are Bret McKenzie (guitar and vocals) and Jemaine Clement (vocals and guitar) and they’re New Zealand’s fourth best guitar-based jazz, techno, hip-hop duo. Over six episodes we follow their attempts to crack the UK’s novelty music scene with songs like Frodo, Don’t Wear The Ring (‘Magical Bling Bling’), Fudafafa, Hiphopapotamus and Think About It (Think, Think About It).
The Conchords have travelled the world and become one of the best-loved double acts on the circuit. Having secured the talents of Rob Brydon, Daniel Kitson, Greg Proops, Nina Conti, Rhys Darby and Neil Finn, they can – for the first time – tell their story…

G´day everyone.
Those that know me personally, know that I haven´t been writing this blog as I am currently overseas, in deepest darkest South America. Well, actually I´m in the southern part of Chile where the most dangerous thing I´ll encounter is a rogue penguin!
Being on the road I´ve seen a few things coming out in the world of comedy, and hopefully I´ll have enough time on the road to say a few things about these developments.
Hope you´re all well and will try to get back to it as soon as I can.
