You may have recalled that last year, Cheech and Chong (who rose to fame on the back of ‘stoner’ films of the 1970s).
Well, true to their word, the pair (looking a little greyer) are touring Australia during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with shows on the 17th and 18th of April.
From ticketmaster
Cheech & Chong are back on the road for the first time in more than 25 years and ready to `Light Up Australia` with their wonderfully wacky humour this April at the Palais Theatre.
Having enjoyed amazing success over the past 25 years with nine hit comedy albums, one Grammy award and eight hit films, their live show is destined to be low-brow comedy at its finest! The show will also feature Chong`s wife Shelby as the opening act.

Tickets go on sale 2nd of February

Stephen K Amos is a great British comedian who has been a regular visitor to Australia. In his home country he regularly has standup gigs, but has also branched out to hosting shows and even made a documentary (titled Batty Man) on homophobia in the black British and Jamaican communities.
This month sees his return to performing in Australia with his standup show Gets next to you. He appears for five shows only as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Lenny Henry, one of the elder statesmen of UK comedy (even according to him) has been a staple part of my comedy life since I was in high school. Being the first coloured person on UK TV was a remarkable event and seeing his career rise and rise has been great. He has also been listed as one of the 50 funniest acts in British Comedy.
He's been to Australia a few times in the last decade (this is his 5th tour) and I'm always impressed with his standup and more recently a one man show where he played 3 characters. He has also been an active campaigner for ethnic diversity on TV, completed an MA, and produced a radio sitcom.
He is in Australia at the moment plugging his new show Where you From which should further prove his comic ability in standup and the occasional song. I got my ticket fairly late, so there should be something left!
Check out ticketmaster for shows!
The great Australia comedian Adam Hills is doing live shows in Sydney (3rd July) and Melbourne (10-12th July). The host of Spicks and Specks is putting two of his favourite shows together, Joymonger and Characterful.

Be part of the audience for this unique comedy event and show your support of young people dealing with the emotional, physical and practical impacts of a cancer diagnosis.
All funds raised go directly to CanTeen
