Wog Boy has been one of the most popular Australian comedies of the last decade. Nick Giannopolous returns in the sequel, set a few years after the first film where the boys head off to Greece, and find out how 'un-greek' they actually are.
Filming started in Melbourne this week and the film is aimed to be released in April 2010.
Stay tuned for more!
Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer will be making an appearance again on Larry David's Curb your enthusiasm. The show is made by David, former Seinfeld co-creator and will mark the first time the foursome have appeared together on TV since the show's end in 1998.

I look forward to something with all four cast members. Can't wait!
Mollie Sugden has passed away at the age of 86. Made famous from the series Are you Being Served? in the 1970s, she played Miss Slocombe, who had an affection for her pussy.
In a week of many celebrity deaths, hers most surely should not be missed. She was part of my comedy world while I was growing up - I will fondly miss her.
RIP Mollie.

A naked Bruno is on the front cover of this month's GQ magazine. Make sure you have a look at see what else is in this comedy issue!
In today's paper, photos about Tim Burton's new film, Alice in Wonderland have been released. It stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham-Carter, Anne Hathaway and Australia's Mia Wasikowska as the title character
I was most interested to hear Little Britain's Matt Lucas playing one of the roles. I've attached the picture so you can guess who he will be :)

The rumour-mill has been churning. It appears that Sean Penn, who won the best actor Oscar for his role in Milk is going to star in a new Three Stooges film.
wtf?
Another rumour is that Jim Carrey and Benecio Del Toro are vying for parts in the film. Honestly, this would be the weirdest looking stooges film I've ever seen. Stay tuned for more!
Rumour has it that Eddie Murphy has been slated to play Richard Pryor in a biopic of the late great stand up comedian. Murphy has reportedly waived his fee to play the role, of a man who was his inspiration as a comedian and later in his career, a good friend. Murphy has done striking impressions of Pryor and even directed his idol to the mediocre Harlem Nights. The film has been associated with academy award winning director and writer, Bill Condon. Condon was the director on Dreamgirls, Kinsey and wrote Chicago.
Stay tuned for details!

You might know that this blog is something I write because I just love comedy. Some of you might NOT know that I also run an online bookshop on ebay.
www.gbooks.com.au/ebay is the link.
But running a bookshop, you get lots of access to new stuff that has come out on lots of different subjects. I've been accumulating a bit of comedy stuff and have listed new comedy books as they've come out. Check out what I have at:
In time I hope to extend my range to DVDs, joke books, tickets and all-round funny stuff. Enjoy! Let me know what you think.
It has recently been reported that comedienne Tina Fey has been offered $6 million (US) to write a book. Such a figure is unsurprising with her growing success on her TV show 30 Rock, her popularity on YouTube and her recent film, Baby Mama (see our review).
She has accepted an offer from Little, Brown & Co (the final amount has not been disclosed) with the condition that the publishing house make a donation to Books for Kids to help sponsor the building of libraries for schools of under-served neighbourhoods in New York.
It is believed that the book will consist of a series of humour essays.
“Isn’t he dead?” was the question I was asked by my girl when I told her that Jerry Lewis was going to be doing shows in Australia. But he’s not! He’s coming with a 24-piece orchestra to sing, make with the funny and to talk about his amazing life. Tickets go on sale on the 25th of September.
[From ticketmaster.com.au]
King of comedy Jerry Lewis is returning to Australia for the first time in eight years to perform a string of hilarious stage shows accompanied by his 24-piece orchestra.
Written, directed and produced by the legendary comic himself Mr Jerry Lewis, the brilliant show is an intriguing and often hysterical journey through his life, told through videos, remembrances, comedic sketches and songs.
Accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra, his film, television and Broadway successes are all represented, as is his legendary partnership with Dean Martin.
Jerry Lewis is one of the most popular and successful comedians of all time. This amazing night is not to be missed.
